Games and sports are same integrate parts of extra
curricular activities in which the students of DCC take part along with their
regular academic activities. They take part, for example, in chess, carom,
table tennis and so on as indoor games. DDC arrange annual sports in a
flamboyant look. Moreover, the college arranges indoor games competitions
during the education week that is observed every year. DDC also regularly takes
part in games and sports arranged by Dhaka Board of Education. For example,
mention may be made that in 2011 in the completion arranged by the board the
students of DDC stood first in the events of high jump and javelin throwing.
The students of DDC, up to this time, have achieved
gold medals in taking part in same international competions too. In 2010 two
students of DPC won individual runner up position in south Asia Fencing
championship competition arranged at chennai in India. In 2011, Himu, a student of
DDC, participated in International Taikoando competition in Nepal and won a
gold medal. Mr. Raju Ahmed is the physical teacher of DPC. He looks after every
affair of games and sports of this reputed college.
